Agricultural spraying

When you decide to apply a pesticide, you must first read the label on the pesticide carefully.

On the label of the drug, there is information about the recommended pest, the dosage of use, the time between the last spraying and harvest, the information to be considered during use and the toxicity of the drug.

Using the pesticide against the recommended pest at the right time, in the right product and in the right amount significantly reduces the damage to both humans and other living things and the environment.

In addition, the period between the last spraying and harvest on the label of the pesticide must be followed. If this range is not followed, the problem of drug residue in the product arises. It is also extremely inconvenient to apply more than the recommended dose.

In addition to this, residue, damage to the plant, contamination of the environment with a toxic substance, it also causes pests, diseases or weeds to become resistant to drugs.

In order to prevent poisoning while preparing the medicine and spraying, the practitioner must definitely use protective equipment.

Although it varies according to the pesticide used, gloves, masks, protective glasses, hats, boots, protective clothing can be included in these equipment. Even a long-sleeved suit to be worn by the practitioner during spraying is a protective clothing as it will prevent the pesticide from contacting the skin directly. It is also important to wash the clothes worn, including shoes, separately from other clothes after each spraying.

Thus, the contact of the skin with the pesticide is prevented by wearing clean clothes during the next application.

Most of the poisoning occurs when the sprayers eat, drink or smoke without washing their hands. For this reason, it is very important to wash the hands and body parts with plenty of water every time the spraying is interrupted and to take a shower when the spraying is finished.
